1. Mask Protocol
The mask mandate has been lifted in the state of New Jersey. However the CDC is recommending if you have not been vaccinated that you still wear one.
Masks are no longer required to be worn with the following exceptions:
•The individual business still requires them to be worn.
•Masks are still required at health care facilities, senior or long term care facilities, child care centers and schools, homeless shelters, correctional facilities, state offices open to the public such as Motor Vehicles.
If a customer asks you to put your mask on, you need to comply. Please do not argue with the customer.
If there are any questions or you are unsure if a mask is required we would recommend you wear one.
If you have any questions please reach out to Anthony or Christine.

2. COVID-19 Protocols
Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is a serious health issue and the Company will ensure the health and safety of every employee.
Action Plumbing will follow the CDC guidelines. See link for further information.
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/quarantine-isolation.html
The following guidance should be followed:
If you are ill with cold-like symptoms (fever/chills, cough, sore throat, runny nose, shortness of breath, loss of taste/smell), please remain at home. Follow our normal call-in procedures to alert your manager. Consult with your medical provider.
Look for emergency warning signs for COVID-19. If someone is showing any of these signs, seek emergency medical care immediately: Trouble breathing, Persistent pain or pressure in the chest; New confusio, Inability to wake or stay awake, Bluish lips or face
In addition to the information provided under our normal call-in procedures, you are required to inform the Company if:
1. you are subject to a federal, state, or local quarantine or isolation order related to COVID-19, including when a Federal, State, or local government authority has advised categories of citizens (e.g., of certain age ranges or of certain medical conditions) to shelter in place, stay at home, isolate, or quarantine, causing those categories of employees to be unable to work even though work is available;
2. you have been advised by a health care provider to self-quarantine because of COVID-19;
3. you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, such as fever, dry cough, shortness of breath; or any other COVID-19 symptoms identified by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and is seeking a medical diagnosis; or
4. you are caring for an individual subject to a government order or medical advice as described above in numbers 1 and 2, respectively
Better to Be Safe
In order to fully comply with this policy you are urged to report whether you may have been exposed to COVID-19. For example, a spouse, partner or family member may have been sent home from their place of employment because of COVID-19-related reasons. Your disclosure may ensure the safety of others.
Self-Quarantine, Medical Examinations and Other Measures
Depending on the circumstances, the Company may send you home should you appear to present symptoms consistent with COVID-19 and/or direct you to self-quarantine for a period of time, or if you have traveled to an inadvisable place, may live or are in close proximity to a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 or may been otherwise exposed to COVID-19. Under these circumstances, the Company may require you to submit medical documentation to determine whether a medical condition may impair your ability to perform your job or pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others. Additionally, the company may take remedial measures including, but not limited to, taking employee temperatures.
COVID-19 Positive
If you are diagnosed with COVID-19 or are waiting for COVID-19 testing, you must report this to Management to avoid spreading it to others in the workplace and community. We will instruct you on the latest CDC guidelines and company policies.
Notification
Action Plumbing Inc needs the ability to contact you...while you are at work and while you are not at work. If your personal phone number has changed, make Management aware of it. Should we get a report of COVID in a facility you have been to or a fellow worker has symptoms of COVID, we WILL need to reach you!
FFCRA Poster is now linked - see link below for anyone impacted by COVID or affected by COVID life event changes.
3. To help prevent the spread of COVID-19:
Cover your mouth and nose with a mask when around people who don’t live with you. Masks work best when everyone wears one.
Stay at least 6 feet (about 2 arm lengths) from others.
Avoid crowds. The more people you are in contact with, the more likely you are to be exposed to COVID-19.
Avoid unventilated indoor spaces. If indoors, bring in fresh air by opening windows and doors.
Clean your hands often, either with soap and water for 20 seconds or a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
You can choose to get vaccinated against COVID-19 when it’s your turn.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces daily.
When wearing rubber gloves remember - do NOT touch your face. Rubber gloves can transfer the virus to your face.
Use disinfectant on the fixtures you are touching, prior to touching them.
Wash work clothes frequently – do not reuse work clothes.
Sanitize your cell phones - often!
Do not vape or smoke near anyone, it helps transmit the virus to others if infected.
Do not share items such as pens, drink ware, food etc If a customer has their own pen, let them use it to sign the paperwork. If not, you can dispose of or sanitize your pen.
Cleaning / sanitizing in our facility has been addressed with our cleaning crew and performed twice per week. Office staff, please frequently clean your desk / work area.
*Although this page is for work related purposes, I want to remind you to clean frequently touched surfaces at home to reduce exposure to you and your family.
